'The Six Pack'

'The six pack' is a set of European Health and Safety Directives which were implement in the UK in 1992, Although they were already effectively in place under HAWSA 1974.

The main aim of the six pack was to bring each member country up to the same place and provide a level playing field across Europe.

The Six Pack Consists of:

1. Management of Health and Safety at Work Reg 1999

2. Workplace (health, safety and welfare) regulations 1992

3. Health and Safety (display screen equipment) regulations 1992

4. Personal protective equipment at work regulations 1992

5. Manual handling operations regulations 1992
